"I first came up with the idea for the 37 Club partners program, after hitting the pavement one afternoon. I found out quickly that locals were willing to give $25/month to help pay for our expenses, which would allow us to help our youth without charge. I called it our "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is" campaign.

Before continuing, I rethought my approach AND my target audience, deciding it was more appropriate to ask business owners to partner with us with a slightly larger, howbeit still relatively small amount ($37/week instead of the original $25/month).

My criteria for my new targeted audience was that they should have access to more cash flow than regular people, and should naturally be on the lookout for 'win-win-win' situations (a win for their business, a win for their partner, and a win for the greater community). 

That's how I came up with the 37 Club Partners Podcast idea for local businesses.

As well as being my favourite number, it's a small enough amount to ask for without being unreasonable, but also large enough that it compounds & scales quickly, enabling us to accelerate executing our vision to create a positive shift in Australian Youth Culture through Music, Art, and Wisdom.
